Placing an order

How do I know my order was successfully placed?
Once you have placed an order, you should receive an automatic order confirmation email with an order number. Please note that this email only confirms receipt of your order and is sent to the email address used to place the order.

Can I get my purchase gift packaged?
Yes, you can have your purchase gift wrapped. Select the gift wrapping option during checkout. Click here and find out more. All parcels include a complimentary return label along with return instructions and delivery note.
Can I get a shopping bag?
Shopping bags are not included in shipped parcels. This is a beginning step as we embark on a more sustainable journey.

Can I buy products for reselling purposes?
Purchases made online are restricted to consumers only, i.e., individuals, who purchase something neither for commercial purposes nor for independent professional activity, and whose habitual place of residence is in France and who can provide a delivery address there. For this reason, it is not possible to claim tax back on purchases made on hugoboss.com/fr/en.

Can I place an online order over the phone, email, post or fax?
Orders may only be placed directly on our website at hugoboss.com, or in one of our directly owned and operated stores offering 'Order from Store.

I did not receive an order confirmation email. Was my order placed?
We recommend that you check your spam/bulk folder in case the confirmation email is sent there. To ensure you receive our email updates, please add our email address to your email list.
If you do not receive an email within a few hours of placing an order, please contact Customer Care.

How can I withdraw from my order?
If you wish to withdraw from your order, you may initiate the request via Customer Care or by completing the withdrawal form and submitting it to us. Alternatively, you may inform us through any other appropriate means:

Changing/Cancelling orders

Can I cancel my order?
Our goal is to process and ship your order(s) as quickly as possible. Although our Customer Care Team does their best to accommodate cancellation requests, cancellation possibilities are very limited. Once an order is being prepared for shipment, it can no longer be cancelled. Therefore, we recommend simply returning the package upon receipt (return instructions are included in the package) in accordance with the return conditions outlined in our Online Store T&Cs.

Can I modify my order?
Once an order is submitted, we are unable to modify or edit the order.

What is my size?
The size chart and fits of the various BOSS and HUGO collections vary. 
Each product page includes a product description and a size chart with general recommendations to help determine your best fit. You can click on the respective ‘size chart’ or ‘What’s my size?’ to use the Fit Finder tool.

Product authenticity

Where can I buy authentic BOSS and HUGO products?
We recommend to purchase products only from authorised HUGO BOSS vendors. Items sold at flea markets, home parties, by street vendors or unauthorised websites are likely to be fake. Please consider that the quality of a genuine HUGO BOSS product accounts for its price. If the price seems very low, then it is probably a counterfeit. Additionally, counterfeiters often make errors in the details of the products. Poor stitching, misspellings or mistakes in the logo are often an indication of counterfeits.

How can I report counterfeits?
Fighting counterfeits
HUGO BOSS takes the fight against counterfeits very seriously, and works closely with relevant law enforcement authorities around the world to protect their brands as well as the interest of their customers.
HUGO BOSS is implementing a strict anti-counterfeiting program for both online and offline matters, including:
 
Preventing counterfeit products from being offered on the market
Detecting counterfeit products and potential network of counterfeiters

Where are orders shipped from?
All orders are shipped from our warehouse in Germany.

Which shipping carrier will deliver my order?
We partner with DPD | Chronopost & DHL | La Poste | Collissimo for standard deliveries and with UPS Express for express deliveries within Corsica and France.

Which delivery locations are supported for online orders?
It is possible to specify a different delivery address and have the parcel delivered to an address of your choice. Orders may be shipped directly to your home, work address or parcel shop. The invoice is sent to you at the email address provided.
Alternatively, you may opt for our Click & Collect or Try-in-Store services upon checkout by specifying a BOSS or HUGO Store where you would like to collect or try the item(s) in your order.

Are there any shipping location restrictions?
Orders may not be shipped to hotels or forwarding centers. Additionally, we do not deliver to French Guiana, Guadeloupe, Martinique, Corsica, Réunion, Saint-Barthélemy, Saint-Martin, Wallis and Futuna Islands, French Polynesia, New Caledonia, Mayotte, and Monaco.

Personalized products
Orders with personalized products may take up to 2 working days longer than our normal guaranteed delivery time.
Express Delivery is not available for personalised products.


Track my order


How can I track my order?
As soon as your package has left our warehouse, you will receive a shipment notification email including a tracking number. You may click on the tracking number to track your order. Please allow approximately 24 hours for the tracking information to load. 
Alternatively, you may use ‘Order Status’ & enter your order number to view order status.
Registered customers can view the status of their order within the “Order History” section located in their My Hugo Boss account.
A delivery notification email is sent upon successful delivery. If you need further assistance tracking your package, please contact UPS  or DHL|La Poste|Colissimo or DPD and provide your tracking number or contact Customer Care.

What to do if I miss my delivery?
Normally, one delivery attempt is made with La Poste | DHL. If you are not home, the parcel will be delivered to the nearest post office or parcel shop, where it will be held for another 7 days before being returned.
UPS may deliver a shipment to the receiver or to any other person appearing to have authority to accept delivery of the shipment on the receiver’s behalf (such as persons at the same premises as the receiver).
If no such person is available the package may be left in the receiver’s letterbox, if suitable, or delivered to the a neighbour, unless the shipper has excluded such delivery options by using the applicable additional service.
The receiver shall be informed of any alternate delivery arrangements (or redirection to a UPS Access Point®) by note left at their premises.
Upon receipt of an undelivered order, a refund is processed automatically. Additional charges for express shipping, customs and taxes incurred to deliver your order are non-refundable.

Return policy

What is your online return policy and how many days do I have to return a product?
You have 30 days from the date of delivery to return your item(s). Merchandise that is unworn, unwashed and unused with original labels attached, qualify for a return.
Merchandise that has been worn, used, altered, damaged or missing original labels will not be accepted. HUGO BOSS reserves the right to refuse returns on merchandise that does not meet the above return requirements in HUGO BOSS’ sole discretion.
The return of the goods will be free of charge if you use and follow the instructions contained on the return form and the pre-printed return label included with the delivery, except in relation to items that contain hazardous materials or flammable liquids or gases, e.g. Eau de Parfum, Eau de Toilette, After Shave, Deo Stick, Deo Spray, and Smartwatches. In respect of such items you will bear the direct cost of returning the goods
 Depending on your delivery address, item(s) may be returned by post to our warehouse in Germany using the free return label provided inside the parcel. For your convenience, the instructions are also provided in the return instructions section.

Can I return an item in a BOSS or HUGO store?
Online purchases may be returned or exchanged in a BOSS or HUGO store. Merchandise that is unworn, unwashed and unused with original labels attached, qualify for a return. Please note, online purchases may not be exchanged at outlets, department stores or other wholesale distributors. If the items were purchased in one of the HUGO BOSS Outlets, please return them to the concerned outlet. You may refer to the proof of purchase (store receipt) regarding the outlet's return and exchange policy. The store locator can be used to locate a BOSS or HUGO store nearest to you.

Whom may I contact for an enquiry about HUGO BOSS products, store(s) or online purchase(s)?
HUGO BOSS Customer Care provides after sales service for purchases made at hugoboss.com or in our BOSS or HUGO stores. For purchases made elsewhere, please directly contact the business where the product(s) was purchased.

Are there any refund restrictions?
Personalised merchandise and sealed goods which were unsealed after the delivery, are not eligible for a refund.

Are delivery or return charges refundable?
Additional charges for express shipping, customs and taxes incurred to deliver your order are non-refundable.
For free and easy returns, please use the complimentary return label provided inside the parcel.

Personalized products
Please note that once your order has been placed and paid for, a personalized product cannot be exchanged, refunded or returned unless it is damaged or faulty. This does not affect your statutory rights.


Return instructions

How do I return an item I purchased online?
Online purchases may be returned or exchanged in a BOSS or HUGO store, or via post.
A complimentary return label along with easy-to-follow return instructions are enclosed in all parcels.
You may also follow the below instructions to return your item(s) via post.
If you are unable to locate the return label, you may request one here.  
Alternatively, you may also contact customer care and they will gladly send you one via email, at no extra cost.
1. Please complete the return form enclosed with your original order, if possible specifying the reason and quantity of returned item(s).
2. Place the item(s) and the return form into the shipping box.
3. Please attach the return label to your parcel where it can be clearly seen, covering the original delivery label.
4. Drop off the package at a DPD Parcelshop or UPS Access Point or La Poste Point near you.
5. Please do not combine items from multiple orders in one return parcel. Instead, use the return label dedicated to the specific item belonging to its respective order.
A return is processed only once it passes the quality inspection and an automated refund email notification is sent to confirm the details of the return.
Generally, returns are processed approximately within 3-5 business days of receipt in the warehouse. However, during sales and promotional periods, it may take longer than usual.
Please note, HUGO BOSS will not assume responsibility for reimbursement or compensation in the event that return packages are lost, stolen, mishandled, or damaged (I) prior to acceptance by DHL/ Bpost/ DPD / UPS or La Poste when utilising the free return label provided by HUGO BOSS or (ii) in the event that the prepaid label provided by HUGO BOSS is not used for the return shipment.

How can I get a returns label?
Free returns labels, along with easy-to-follow instructions, are included in all our shipped orders. 
You can find more information on how to return your item(s) via post here. If you are unable to locate your returns label, you can print a new one here. 
Alternatively, you can contact Customer Care, and they will gladly send you a new one via email at no extra cost.

Exchanges

How do I exchange an item?

Hugoboss.com is unable to accommodate automatic exchanges at this time however they may be easily exchanged in a BOSS or HUGO store.
Alternatively, you may return the original item(s) back to the warehouse for a refund by following the return instructions and place a new order online.

Refunds

How are refunds issued for a purchase made online?
Refunds may only be issued via the same method that was utlised for payment of the original order. If your order was placed via Klarna, you have the possibility to pause the invoice to avoid receiving a late fee. You can do this via the Klarna app or directly on Klarna's website.

How long does it take for a refund to be issued?
Once we have processed your return, you will receive an automated refund notification via email.
However, the time taken for the refund to arrive in your bank or credit card account may vary and depends upon the speed of your bank's processing procedures. We recommend that you contact your bank or financial institution for more precise information.

How do I request a refund for an order placed at a BOSS or HUGO store?
In the refund form, please enter the unique seven digit code shared with you in an automated email titled ‘HUGO BOSS - Information about the refund of your Order Number’.
Once you complete the refund form, you will be directed to a secure page to fill out your bank details. A refund will then be credited to your account.
The time taken for the refund to arrive in your bank account may vary and depends upon the speed of your bank's processing procedures. We recommend you that contact your bank or financial institution for more precise information.

What payment methods are accepted online?
HUGO BOSS accepts the following forms of payment for online purchases:

Are online payments secure?
To protect your data from unauthorised access by third parties, we use tested encryption technologies. With the SSL (Secure Socket Layer) and 3D Secure procedures, all orders and credit card data is transmitted to us in encrypted form and treated confidentially.

What is 3D secure (3DS)?
As of 1 January 2021, the EU's revised Payment Services Directive (PSD2) regulating the authentication of online payments will go into effect. PSD2 introduces Strong Customer Authentication (SCA), which contains several new requirements for the security of online payments.
For this reason, you will be asked to confirm your identity during the payment process as an extra step. This additional step is required to ensure it is really you making the payment, thus providing additional protection against fraudulent activity. Please note that once SCA becomes mandatory, unauthenticated transactions may be declined. To protect your data from unauthorised access by third parties, we use tested encryption technologies.

How do I ensure I am enrolled in 3DS?
Please contact your issuing bank and ensure your credit card is activated for Mastercard Identity Check, Verified by Visa, and/or Safekey by American Express. As a general rule, your bank may offer various options for using 3D Secure. The most common methods include special apps or codes via SMS. Once set up, future card payments are further secured.

Can I switch a payment method after an order is placed?
We are unable to modify payment methods once an order has been placed.


Credit/Debit Card

When exactly will my credit card be charged?
Payment will be taken once you have placed your order successfully. In order to avoid delays in processing your order, please ensure that your name, card number, expiration date and security code are entered correctly as displayed on your card.

What is a CVN or CVV code?
CVN or CVV is a 3 digit security code printed over the top of the signature field on the back of your MasterCard or VISA. On American Express, it is a 4-digit security code printed on the front of the card, to the right above your card number.

PayPal

What is PayPal?
PayPal is an online payment service, which you can use to make payments at online shops simply and free of charge. You must have an existing PayPal account to use during checkout. 
You may link your bank account or credit/debit card to your PayPal account. Once set up successfully, you can pay with PayPal straight away.
Your payment details are secure as they are only accessible by logging on directly with PayPal. For this reason, payment information is not transmitted again via the internet with each online purchase. To confirm your identity during the payment process, PayPal sends you a code via SMS during login. This serves your protection and fulfils the requirements of PSD 2 (see the general information under the payments section).
When paying with PayPal, you are covered by PayPal Buyer Protection.

How do I use PayPal and PayPal Express?
PayPal
You may checkout by completing the mandatory fields such as shipping and billing addresses, delivery preference and payment method where you may select PayPal.
Once you complete the HUGO BOSS checkout by clicking on Place order and Pay, you will be automatically directed to your secure PayPal account, where you can sign in and select your preferred payment type. Click on Continue and you will be directed back to the HUGO BOSS confirmation page and your order number will be displayed.
You will also receive an order confirmation email from HUGO BOSS and a payment confirmation email from PayPal.
PayPal Express
With PayPal Express, you can checkout with just two clicks without entering billing and shipping addresses each time you make a purchase.
Upon selecting checkout with PayPal on the shopping bag, you will be automatically directed to your PayPal account where you can sign in and select your preferred payment method. Click on Continue and you will be directed back to HUGO BOSS checkout with the shipping address field automatically populated, matching the address saved on your PayPal account. Proceed with filling out the remaining mandatory fields and place your order by clicking Place order and Pay.
Once your order is submitted successfully, you will receive an order confirmation email from HUGO BOSS and a payment confirmation email from PayPal.


Apple Pay

How do I use Apple Pay?
To view the payment instructions from Apple directly, please click here.
You can use your iPhone or iPad to quickly and securely provide your payment, shipping and contact information. Simply tap the Apple Pay button on a product page or in the shopping bag to get started.
Pay at hugoboss.com in Safari
With your iPhone, iPad, and Mac, you can use Apple Pay to pay at hugoboss.com in Safari.
Pay with your iPhone or iPad
  1. Tap the Apple Pay button on the product page or in the shopping bag.
  2. Check your billing address, shipping address and contact information to make sure that they are correct.
  3. If you want to pay with a different credit card, tap the next icon next to your card.
  4. If you need to, enter your billing address, shipping address and contact information. Apple Pay will store that information, so you are not required to enter it again.
When you are ready, finalise your order and confirm the payment.
iPhone X or later or iPad with Face ID: Double-click the side button, then use your Face ID or passcode. 
iPhone 8 or earlier or iPad without Face ID: Use your Touch ID or passcode. 
Apple Watch: Double-click the side button.
When your payment is successful, you will see 'Done' and a checkmark on the screen.
Pay with your Mac (models with Touch ID)
  1. Tap the Apple Pay button on the product page or in the shopping bag.
  2. Check your billing address, shipping address and contact information to make sure that they are correct.
  3. If you want to pay with a different credit card, tap the next icon next to your card.

When you are ready, finalise your purchase.
Follow the prompts on the Touch Bar and place your finger on Touch ID. If the Touch ID is off, tap the Apple Pay icon on the Touch Bar and follow the prompts on your screen. When your payment is successful, you will see 'Done' and a checkmark on the screen.

Klarna

What is Klarna?
Klarna is the leading global payments and shopping service, providing smarter and flexible payment services like pay later (invoice), pay in parts (instalments), pay now (direct debit or transfer) or slice it (monthly financing).

How do I pay with Klarna?
Here is how it works:
  • Step 1 Add products to your cart, and select “Klarna” when you check out
  • Step 2 Enter a few personal details (e.g. birthday and mobile phone number), and you’ll know instantly if you’re approved
  • Step 3 Klarna will send you an email confirmation and reminders when it’s time to pay
  • Step 4 You can complete your future Klarna purchases with just one click
When using Klarna, you may need to verify your identity during the payment process. You will receive a confirmation code by text message.
We highly recommend downloading the Klarna app. This way you will always have full control and overview of your payments.

How do I set up Google Pay?
Adding your card to Google Pay takes just a few moments. Once you’ve added a card, you won’t need to enter your payment information again.
First, download the app from Google Play or the App Store.
Then, just follow the instructions in the app. You can also set up Google Pay on the website here.

How do I use Google Pay?
You may check out by completing the mandatory fields such as shipping and billing addresses, delivery preference and payment method - where you can select Google Pay.
Once you complete the HUGO BOSS checkout by clicking on Place order and Pay, you will be automatically directed to your secure Google Pay account, where you can sign in and select your preferred payment type. Just choose Google Pay at checkout, confirm your purchase, and you’re all set.
Click on Continue and you will be directed back to the HUGO BOSS confirmation page and your order number will be displayed. 
You will also receive an order confirmation email from HUGO BOSS and a payment confirmation from Google Pay.

Do you offer physical or digital gift cards ?
Digital gift cards are available for purchase online or on the app.
Alternatively, you may purchase a physical gift card with different designs from one of our directly owned and operated BOSS, HUGO or outlet stores in:

How can I check my gift card's balance?
You may check gift card balance online or  on the app by entering the gift card number and PIN.
 You may also request assistance from one of the sales associates in our directly operated BOSS, HUGO or outlet stores.

Do gift cards expire?
A gift card is valid for 5 years from the date of purchase.

What do I do if my gift card is lost, stolen or damaged?
We recommend that you handle your gift card with care, just like cash. HUGO BOSS assumes no liability for stolen, lost, damaged or misused gift cards.

I purchased a digital gift card online. Can I cancel or return it?
You have the right to cancel your gift card order within 14 days without giving any reason, as long as the gift card has not been used. 
The cancellation period begins upon receipt of the gift card.

Can I redeem the gift card at partner companies where BOSS and HUGO products can be purchased?
HUGO BOSS gift cards are not redeemable at any of our partner company brick and mortar stores, outlets, or online shops.
They can only be redeemed online on hugoboss.com, on the app  as well as in our directly owned and operated BOSS, HUGO, and outlet stores.

What is the difference between a gift card and a voucher?
Gift cards are treated as an alternative to any available payment method offered on our online store, app or directly owned and operated BOSS, HUGO, and outlet stores. 
They must be redeemed within 5 years from the date of purchase.
Vouchers are discount codes, with a series of letters and numbers, issued by HUGO BOSS in the scope of customer service processes and are sent out from time to time with regards to special events and offers and in accordance with specific terms and conditions. 
Vouchers are not available for purchase.

Is there a difference between a gift card with a BOSS logo and a HUGO logo?
The logo depends on the store where the gift card was purchased. 
All gift cards can be redeemed be redeemed on hugoboss.com, on the app as well as in our directly owned and operated BOSS, HUGO, and outlet stores.

Which gifting services does HUGO BOSS offer?
Gift Packaging
We offer an option of either a gift bag or a gift box. If you choose the gift box, your products will be additionally wrapped with tissue paper. Please note, to have single items in an order gift-packaged you will need to place a separate order for each item.

How do I send a gift?
During your online checkout, you will have the option to include a gift bag or gift box.
If you wish you have individual items wrapped, you will need to place a separate order for each item.
Please note that jackets, coats, suits, shoes and accessories, plus some individual items from other categories can only be packaged in a paper bag due to their shape and size.

Which sizes of gift boxes / gift packaging options does HUGO BOSS offer?
HUGO BOSS offers three different sizes. The sizes are selected according to the item(s) which need to be packaged. 
Please note that jackets, coats, suits, shoes and accessories, plus some individual items from other categories can only be packaged in a paper bag due to their shape and size.

Can I add a personal message to my gift box or gift bag?
You can create a personalized message at checkout in combination with the purchase of a gift box.

Can I exchange or return an item gifted to me by someone else?
Gift items purchased on hugoboss.com may be returned. However, refunds may only be issued to the same method of payment used for the original purchase.

Which sustainable packaging materials are used at HUGO BOSS?
We are committed to using more sustainable packaging materials that are recycled and/or come from certified sources. Shipping boxes for the HUGO BOSS online store are exclusively made of FSC®-certified cardboard, consist of more than 80% recycled material on average, and are fully recyclable. All our paper packaging for shoes, bodywear and socks is also made of FSC®-certified paper. Plastic packaging, such as protection foils, suit bags or hangers, contains a large proportion of recycled material.

What should be considered before disposing of packaging?

To ensure the best possible use of our packaging, customers may contribute, for instance, by re-using shipment boxes. After usage, packaging components consisting of different types of materials should be separated and disposed of according to the local waste disposal and recycling guidelines.
The Triman logo is a visual signal that tells consumers that the product and its packaging are being collected separately for recycling. The pictograms that accompany the Triman indicate the packaging component should be disposed in the corresponding recycling bin or container.
